Dua Lipa is an English musician and singer who was born on 22 August 1995 in London United Kingdom. The self-titled debut album was released in 2017, after she joined Warner Bros Records. The album peaked at number. three on the U.K. Charts. There were eight singles that were released, including Be the One I.D.G.A.F. and New Rules. In the United States it peaked as the 6th most popular album. Lipa was awarded the Brit Award in the year 2018 for British Female Soloist as well as British Breakthrough Artist. Her album is certified platinum in many countries. Future Nostalgia's sophomore studio album was published in 2020. It's time to celebrate the birth anniversary of Dua's birth right here. Dua Lipa was born in London on the 22nd of August, 1995. She was born to Kosovo Albanian parents Anesa Rexha and Dukagjin Lipa. Through her maternal grandmother Dua Lipa, she is Bosnian. She can trace her ancestry back to Peja, a city in Kosovo. Two of Lipa's grandfathers were historians. They have a brother Gjin Lipa, and a younger sister Rina. Lipa was influenced musically by her father who is the principal guitarist and singer for The Kosovan group Oda. The band was heavily influenced by their father's music, which included his music compositions and songs such David Bowie Bob Dylan Radiohead Stereophonics Stereophonics. Lipa was barely five when she first began to sing. It was the Sylvia Young Theater School was the first place she began to sing at the age of nine. Lipa sang Beautiful by Christina Aguilera, and If I'm Not Got You by Alicia Keys on YouTube. Lipa signed her first record contract in 2014 through Warner Bros. Records. In August 2015 her first single New Love came out.
